《Lu kou》, 《Crossroads》
Néry and the Belgistan meet Bailong (France)Eclectic artist, founder of the mythical French rock band 《les VRP》, Néry comes to Beijing with a new album realized by his close friend - M - and imagines an encounter between his own sensitive universe and Chinese musical culture.
For this unique musical creation, Néry called the band that has been on the stage with him for two years, “The Belgistan”, fellow traveller of “Les Ogres of Barback” and major band of the Belgium new scene, with hypnotic melodies appealing to both lovers of Oriental and Gypsy music and fans of jazz. On their first China tour, Néry and the Belgistan rhythms will be enlightened and rediscovered by the matouqing of Bai long, genius of the Mongolian violin.
“Lu kou” (“Crossroads” in Chinese) is the title of their project, reminding us that it is at the crossroads of music, desire and culture that the most beautiful jewels are to be found.
